Oh no. It’s Sunday morning. Or afternoon. Whatever it is, you don’t care. You feel like death and all you can do is try your best to collect the pieces of Saturday night while drenched in regret. You need a cure, and you need it fast. You down consecutive glasses of water but are only reminded of last night’s Irish car bombs. On to the next one. You take several minutes to rummage through your cupboards in search of something magnificent, the whole time knowing it’s not there, before accepting the fact that you have to order out. Great. You’ll get some fresh air, a filling meal, and your Sunday will be back on track. Oh wait, you left your card at the bar. The mere scent of stale whisky would induce enough vomit to fill a jacuzzi. Wait, did you get in a jacuzzi last night? Oh who cares. You need something to remedy your hangover and you’re striking out. You scrounge up whatever change is lying around your house and hit the streets. You’re determined, on a budget and hot damn you want some bacon.

Well you’re in luck. Say hello to the newest hangover cure that’s affordable, quick and easy, and yes, includes bacon. Now this may sound a bit grotesque, and be warned that it may have you locked in the bathroom several hours down the road, but this hair-of-the-cow hangover cure will change the way you perceive Sunday mornings for the rest of your days. And let it be known, this is a drink for champions only, designed by the geniuses at Levy Restaurant and Texas Motor Speedway.

Shake’n Bacon Brew Recipe:
Six ounces Lager
Six ounces Vanilla Ice Cream
Two ounces bacon
Two ounces candied bacon

Yes, there’s more beer in this recipe, but as veteran drinkers know, the best cure for a killer hangover is more alcohol, and beer should go down easier than liquor. Another side note, if you can’t find candied bacon, just use regular bacon. In the end, who cares? You’re hungover. Any form of bacon will do just fine.

So suck it up. You’re a champion. Put your Sundays back on the map a grab your hangover by the horns. It’s Shake’n Bacon Brew time.
