Another case of a woman giving birth on the floor of a hospital in Mexico due to medical negligence reaches social networks.

According to El Mundo's website, the event took place in the Women's Hospital in the municipality of Tehuacán in the state of Puebla, where a woman in labor asked for medical attention but was ignored by hospital staff and the woman had to give birth on the floor of the hospital's lobby.

One of the witnesses present recorded what happened on his cellphone and uploaded it to YouTube. The video, which lasts around 4 minutes, shows how some family members and people present in the hospital are the ones that help the woman give birth to her child.

After the birth is done, someone with a stretcher approaches but quickly leaves owing to the repudiation of the people present. A nurse then covers the baby with a sheet and minutes later hospital personnel take the women away on a stretcher.

One of the men accompanying the woman in labor shouts angrily at the hospital's receptionist, saying "I told you she was coming, she was in labor. I don't understand, how can there be no room". While one of the women witnessing the event says "If you don't shout at them, they ignore you, they pretend you don't exist".

El Mundo quoted a press release from Puebla government authorities, where they say "Both the director and other hospital officials should have written a report of the event with precise information of what happened".

This case comes after social networks were shocked by the picture of a woman in the state of Oaxaca giving birth in the courtyard of a hospital after being ignored by medical personnel. The director of Tehuacán's Women's Hospital has been fired by Puebla's Ministry of Health.
