Boston Celtics guard Rajon Rondo will end up being traded before the midseason trade deadline, according to die-hard Celtics fan and ESPN NBA analysts Bill Simmons.

In the Clairvoyant Bill portion of his Grantland Show, Simmons shared his prediction that Rondo will only have 20 games or less left as a member of the Celtics.

"Clairvoyant Bill thinks Rajon Rondo has 20 games or less left as a Boston Celtic," Simmons tells fellow ESPN and Grantland analyst Jalen Rose in their Celtics season preview.

Rose easily agreed to Simmons' prediction, believing the reigning two-time assist champion could be the last domino to fall following the departure of Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers.

"This is why we give the people what they want," Rose answered back, "he will be traded."

"What you just described is the worst-kept secret in the NBA," Rose goes on. "Once you trade Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, the year before [you lose] Ray Allen, you lose Doc Rivers, the next obvious domino is Rajon Rondo," Rose added.

Simmons really believed that general manager Danny Ainge will trade the All-Star point guard before the midseason trade deadline in an attempt to get valuable assets before Rondo's contract expires two years from now.

"Don't leave one room in the blown-up house and be like, 'Nah, I'm going to keep the living room.' You blow up the house," said Simmons.

Rondo, who averaged 13.7 points and 11.1 assists last season, is expected to miss a handful of games this year as he recovers back from a torn ACL injury.

The pass-first point guard has been linked to several trade scenarios ever since the Celtics traded away Rivers to the Los Angeles Clippers and veterans Garnett and Pierce to the Brooklyn Nets last summer.

However, Ainge repeatedly insisted that Rondo is untouchable from trades and the Celtics plan to rebuild a team around the point guard.
