There are many beautiful Latina contestants competing in the Miss Universe 2013 pageant who embody the ideals of the Miss Universe organization. One hopeful contestant vying for the crown is Fabiana Granados of Costa Rica, a beauty queen with strong beliefs. 

Granados, 23, was born Fabiana Granados Herrera Parra on March 8, 1990. She hails from the town of Guanacaste, Costa Rica, where she hopes to one day own her own restaurant, according to Miss Universe.com. She is currently a student of business administration and industrial engineering at the University of Latina Costa Rica. 

Granados won the title of Reinas de Costa Rica 2012. She competed at the Miss Earth 2012 pageant and was placed in the top nine. She was also awarded Miss Photogenic, Best Body and Best Swimsuit body. She represented her home country at the Miss Continente Americano 2012 pageant in Guayaquil, Ecuador on September 29, 2012, where she placed in the top six and won the "Most Beautiful Face" award.

In 2012, she competed in Miss PanaAmericana in the U.S. and recieved the Virrenia award for Best Body, as well as in Terra Philippines, where she finished ninth. She was then crowned Miss Costa Rica 2013 in San Jose on July 12, 2013. She will now compete at Miss Universe 2013 in Moscow in November. 

Aside from competing in pageants, Fabiana enjoys dancing, taking care of her horse and mountain biking. She also loves to ride motorcycles and four wheelers, and has been riding horses for over 10 years. 

Fabiana is also very passionate about sustainability and lessening polllution. 

"I believe pollution is the biggest problem facing the world today," Granados said. "We need to come together to reduce our energy consumptions to power our lives in the future." 

Granados will compete in the Miss Universe pageant on November 9 at 9 p.m. at the Crocus City Hall in Moscow, Russia.
