Mexican singer Paulina Rubio will not undergo any psychological testing after her ex Nicolás Vallejo "Colate" asked judges to force her.

Entertainment magazine TVNotas pointed out that businessman Nicolás Vallejo-Nágera had requested that his former wife Paulina undergo psychological analysis under the pretense that the singer lacked stable mental health and that she wasn't suited to take care of their children Andrea Nicolás. The magazine explains that this is one of the businessman's strategies to acquire total custody of his son.

The article also explains that the couple were supposed to show up in a Miami court last Monday, October 7, but only their lawyers were present to represent them and the judge "reached a decision".

Colate filed a lawsuit last September 20 demanding that authorities to carry out psychological tests on the singer, arguing that he is a "good father" worried for the child, doubting the "Golden Girl's" ability to take care of his son.

Quoted by TVNotas, the lawyer representing Nicolás pointed out that his intention was for the request of psychological testing to be handled "confidentially", regretting that Paulina didn't acknowledge his client's real intentions, who is worried for the minor's wellbeing.

"The plaintiff believes that this matter should be handled confidentially owing to the excessive amount of publicity it has generated. It's regrettable that the mother does not acknowledge the father's worry, who has been forced to file this lawsuit. He had hoped the mother would think about the minor's interests before hers".

The judge denied the notion that Rubio should undergo psychological testing and ordered the couple to immediately sign an agreement regarding the custody of little Andrea Nicolás. This was explained to TVNotas by a source close to the couple who also assured that said agreement sets the schedules for the parents to spend time with their son and the pensions the legal tutor of the child will receive.

The Mexican singer has spent close to 500 thousand dollars during the entire legal process, besides alimony she must pay to her former husband, but the magazine points out that as soon as the couple finally signs the agreement, they will be automatically divorced.
