After spending a year away from stages, Shakira performed a recital this Wednesday, October 9 at Bryant Park in New York.

After dedicating a year exclusively to her son Milan, the pop star returned to the stage in a concert organized by mobile carrier T-Mobile, of which she recently became an ambassador, reported newspaper La Razón in its website.

According to the same source, the successful Latina has become the image of the telephone company, the fourth biggest multinational mobile telephone services company in the world, which is currently promoting a new service of international service without restrictions for its users.

It's worth noting that T-Mobile will collaborate with the Colombian singer's foundation, Pies Descalzos, to build schools in developing countries in Latin America, according to newspaper Vanguardia.

Besides this, the same source informs that the agreement between the phone company and Shakira will create platforms to exclusively launch her albums, as well as the distribution of unique content among its clients.

Shakira had not been on a stage since her performance during the Feminine World Cup in 2012, which is why the Wednesday concert was one of the most awaited by her fans.

As People en Español magazine informed, the Colombian singer was excited to be back on stage and shared a picture from Bryant Park minutes before her performance.

"It's wonderful to see so many people from all around the world in New York. Honestly, all of you inspire me", reads a message in her Instagram account, after she uploaded a picture of the massive number of her fans gathered in the little New York park.
