Beckett and Castle are reunited in New York. The world can rest easy. Long longer will fans of “Castle” have to watch in agony as Beckett’s job in D.C. pulls at the recently engaged couple’s relationship. Their love can flourish once again, but it comes with a price.

While fans are pleased that Beckett is back in the arms of her dear Castle, they were shocked when she was abruptly fired in D.C. Now fans are curious as to how easily she’ll transition back into her role in New York. Will it be seamless, or could we see a new, unemployed Beckett in subsequent episodes?

“She’s kind of out in Nowhereland” professionally, Stana Katic, who plays Beckett, told TVLine. “She’s defined herself so much by [her work].” Is she hinting that she’ll do nothing all day but sit around and wait for Castle to get home? Doubtful. That wouldn’t be the Beckett fans have grown to know and love.

“I don’t know about a homebody, I don’t know about a housewife,” she said. “But Castle in this next episode inadvertently helps her find that definition [of who she is] once again. As he always does - inadvertently.”

While their relationship grows stronger with every episode, Katic also touched upon the much anticipated wedding episode.

“I don’t know if the wedding needs to happen in the next few months or not,” Katic said. “It’s not as much of a push for me because they’re together and they’re a solid couple… There’s so much juice to be mined from the complications of getting a wedding together, especially when you have characters like Martha or Lanie or Captain Gates on the outskirts. I think that that will make for a really fun wedding planning scenario.”

“Castle” airs Monday nights on ABC.
