The Faroe Islands and Kazakhstan will face off in the World Cup qualifiers on Friday.

The game is of little importance to either team as both have already been eliminated from the World Cup finals next summer.

Kazakhstan lost 2-1 against the Republic of Ireland in its opening game before falling victim to Sweden in a 2-0 loss. The squad then forced a scoreless draw at home against Austria but endured a 4-0 spanking in Vienna a few days later. Things quickly got worse with 3-0 and 4-1 losses against Germany. The team finally earned its first win when it took down the Faroe Islands 2-1 t home this past September but a 1-0 loss to Sweden nullified that result completely.

The Faroe Islands lost 3-0 against Germany in their opener before lost 2-1 against Sweden. Their third game was a 4-1 blowout defeat against Ireland; Austria bettered that result with a 6-0 win over the Faroe Islands. Ireland then won against squad 3-0 and Sweden topped them 2-0 days later. The team managed a respectable 2-1 loss against Kazakhstan shortly after but was defeated 3-0 by Germany in its most recent qualifier at home.

Faroe Islands has conceded 25 goals in eight games and has only scored three times. Kazakhstan has scored four goals and conceded 17 times.

Prediction: Kazakhstan should have little difficulty pulling off a win in this match; expect a 2-1 win from Kazakhstan.

Start Time: Kick-off starts at 1 p.m. EST.
