Why everyone is so obsessed with Keanu Reeves is unclear. It’s not an unhealthy obsession, it’s just that whenever his name pops up, people gravitate towards it. Whatever it is becomes a trend. Whether he’s starring in a new movie or the most recent Internet meme, people can’t seem to get enough. Is it flattery? Ridicule? We can’t be sure. What is for sure is that the actor is stealing the limelight once again, but this time around, he’s doing it in a katana.

On Monday, October 7, the U.K. movie trailer for “47 Ronin” hit the web. Within 24 hours, Keanu Reeves once again became the top searched actor across search engines such as Google and Yahoo! Universal Pictures has delayed the release of “47 Ronin” for some time, but it's now confirmed for a December 25, 2013 theater debut.

The “47 Ronin” official synopsis is as follows. “From ancient Japan's most enduring tale, the epic 3D fantasy-adventure 47 Ronin is born. Keanu Reeves leads the cast as Kai, an outcast who joins Oishi (Hiroyuki Sanada), the leader of the 47 Ronin. Together they seek vengeance upon the treacherous overlord who killed their master and banished their kind. To restore honor to their homeland, the warriors embark upon a quest that challenges them with a series of trials that would destroy ordinary warriors. ‘47 Ronin’ is helmed by visionary director Carl Erik Rinsch (‘The Gift’). Inspired by styles as diverse as Miyazaki and Hokusai, Rinsch will bring to life the stunning landscapes and enormous battles that will display the timeless Ronin story to global audiences in a way that's never been seen before.”

Check out the thrilling trailer for yourself below. If that isn't enough, you can also watch the summer’s U.S. trailer as well. But let’s be honest. Reeves is trying his hand in martial arts films. Will we ever get enough?
