Batman: Arkham Origins seeks to continue the legacy of the first two games in the series despite the change in developers from Rocksteady to WB Montreal. The game will have a larger Gotham for players to explore, as well as revamped boss fights designed to test the player's understanding of the game's mechanics. Now, the game's season pass DLC has been revealed to IGN, and it will be a mix of new costumes, challenge maps and story DLC for players to use and explore.

The game will have five DLC packs that will come with season pass for $19.99. This saves players $10 if they bought each DLC pack separately. The DLC will have two different character skins packs, two bonus costumes exclusive to season pass buyers, a new challenge mode and an unknown story-based DLC pack.

Players will be able to download two separate costumes packs with six new costumes each. These costume packs will include costumes both for Batman as well as his young ward, Robin. The New Millennium Skins Pack will feature a variety of costumes worn by Batman and Robin since 2000 in video games and television. The Infinite Earths Skins Pack will have further costume options for Batman and Robin.

In addition to these skin pack DLC packages, players will get two exclusive costumes for buying the season pass. The first DLC costume is the outfit worn by Batman in the Gotham by Gaslight comic, in which Bruce Wayne lives in 1889. The other exclusive costume is the Brightest Day Batman skin, based on the outfit Batman wore in the crossover event for DC Comics in 2010.

The game will have two gameplay DLC packages for players to extend their experience with Batman: Arkham Origins. One will be called Initiation, and will offer players a unique experience. Instead of playing as Batman, players will take the role of Bruce Wayne before he began donning the cape and cowl. Players will train as Wayne through several new challenge maps. The other Story DLC remains a mystery, and players may take the role of a different character like Arkham City's Catwoman DLC.

Batman: Arkham Origins is one of the bright spots for gamers for the rest of 2013, and the season pass content for the game looks well worth the price of admission. With over a dozen new costumes for characters and new gameplay modes to explore, fans of the game should definitely drop the dough to pick up the season pass.
