Mexican pop group RBD is planning a reunion to film a documentary with which they seek to leave behind myths and rumors that formed around the band and each of its members, informed Quién.

Producer Pedro Damián explained that the popularity of RBD is still important thanks to their fans who asked for the return of the band to the stage. The article explains that RBD was born after the ending of the "Rebelde" telenovela by Televisa, a band comprised of Anahí, Dulce María, Maite Perroni, Christian Chávez, Chistopher Uckermann and Alfonso Herrera.

Quién detailed that producer Pedro Damían will be responsible for the shooting of the documentary. "Despite they're no longer together the band is still alive, new fan clubs are joining social networks. There's a lot that the public doesn't know, but it would be interesting to know more about the personality of these young band members," the producer pointed out.

In the RBD documentary, fans will be able to find videos and images never seen before of the singers before a concert and behind the stage in the different cities where the band had been. The article points out that some of the questions they hope to see answered is whether there was a lot of ego, rivalries or fights among band members.

The producer assured that he has close to 80 hours of shooting and is currently in the process of selecting scenes. "[It] is a lot of work, that I share with my friend Alonso Vera, who owns an editing and production company. The documentary doesn't have an exact release date, but it will be an important testimonial," he added.

Quién shares that some of the members of RBD have not been called for the production because they now have an independent artistic career, like Christopher Uckermann who starred in the series "Kadabra" and is currently working on his new musical, or Maite Perroni and Alfonso Herrera who started independent music careers as well.

"I don't seek to repeat RBD in my new projects, because I know it happened at a special moment," said the producer who hopes to achieve an RBD reunion because he says it was a unique and unrepeatable phenomenon.
