"Star Wars: Episode VII" will be shot in New Mexico and Los Angeles.

According to the Latino Review, a couple of scenes for the upcoming film will be shot in Las Cruces, N.M. and others will be shot in Los Angeles. "Over the past couple of days, the talk of New Mexico being used for the new Star Wars movies has been pretty constant. What wasn't mentioned is where in New Mexico they would choose to film. Today we have our answer: The City of Crosses, Las Cruces," reported Latino Review.

"According to my source, very little will be shot in Las Cruces along with Los Angeles and 90 percent will be done in London when filming gets underway in 2014."

"Star Wars: Episode VII" is currently casting with many actors rumored to star in the film, including Chloe Grace Moretz, Benedict Cumberbatch, Alex Pettyfer, Zac Efron, Saoirse Ronan and Ryan Gosling. Meanwhile, Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, Ian McDiarmid, Anthony Daniels and Mark Hamill have been rumored to reprise their roles from the original trilogy.

The film will be directed by J.J. Abrams ("Star Trek"), produced by Kathleen Kennedy ("Lincoln:) and written by Michael Arndt ("The Hunger Games," "Toy Story 3"). John Williams ("Lincoln," "Munich") will write the music, while Michael Kaplan will design the costumes ("Star Trek"). Daniel Mindel ("Star Trek") will serve as cinematographer and Maryann Brandon and Mary Jo Markey will edit the feature.

Disney will release "Star Wars: Episode VII" in 2015 with production slated to commence in January 2014 in the United Kingdom.
