A number of Hollywood celebrities have become infamous for their drug addictions. While some are able to kick the habit, others like Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston and recently Cory Monteith, were not as lucky.

Fortunately, added to the list of recovering addicts is actor Zac Efron who reportedly checked into a facility in March and then again in April after relapsing during work on his new film "Neighbors," reports the New York Daily News.

The 25-year-old former teen idol appeared strong and happy recently on the red carpet at the Toronto International Film Festival for the premiere of "Parkland," which opens Oct. 4.

"I'm good, real good," said the "High School Musical" star, according to E! Online.

"He's healthy, happy and not drinking," an unidentified source said about Efron, according to E! "He's taking time to focus on working."

Multiple inside sources told TMZ that Efron completed his treatment five months ago for "cocaine addiction" and that he may have even dabbled in molly, a pure form of ecstasy that's popular at clubs and raves. According to insiders, Efron's alleged problem "spiraled out of control" during the filming of "Neighbors."

However, news of his drug addictions was largely kept under wraps since he was not known to display drunken or otherwise conspicuously drug-addled behavior in public, unlike other young stars like Lindsay Lohan or Demi Lovato.

Lohan, who has lead a very public battle with drugs and alcohol, opened up in a candid interview with Oprah Winfrey, confessing that she subconsciously wanted to go to jail to escape her chaotic lifestyle and "find some peace."

In the interview last month, which was shot four days after Lohan was released from rehab, the 27-year-old actress explained that her trip behind bars was a relief.

"At that point, being in my addiction and having all the chaos around me that I was so comfortable with, I somewhere inside knew and kind of wanted to go to jail. That was subconsciously being put out there by my actions -- or lack thereof," said Lohan during her "Oprah's Next Chapter" interview, according to the LA Times.

Back in 2011, child star Demi Lovato also struggled with drugs and cutting while living a party-girl lifestyle. And most recently, NBA star Lamar Odom has been rumored to be addicted to crack cocaine.
