This time next week, our hearts will be in Los Angeles. “NCIS: LA” will return for its fifth season and reunite fans with their favorite detectives. Season 4 left Sam and Deeks in dire circumstances, leaving fans to rot in their despair for an entire summer, but that’s all about to come to an end. Faith will be restored in the universe as they return to safe hands, Sam in those of his wife, and Deeks into the throws of his budding relationship with Kensi. The future couldn’t be brighter. But as “NCIS: LA” fans are aware, nothing good can last forever. Once the two detectives escape the clutches of pain and torture, it’s back the grueling grind of a Los Angeles cop. Now with the premiere episode less than a week away, fans dig to get their spoiler fix on the forthcoming season, and as mentioned above, the pain and suffering is far from over.
Brace yourselves for a vicious premiere. Despite Sam and Deeks recently endured torture, at least one of their team members will be shot in the first episode, according to TV Guide. What’s worse, the bullet wound will be bloody, exposed and potentially dismembering. However, not all is lost. The injury will be worth it in the fight against Sidorov and Janvier. By the episode’s close, one will be behind bars while the other lays six feet deep.
On a lighter note, Deeks’ and Kensi’s blossoming romance will be addressed right off the bat. In the premiere alone, the duo will have "the most honest conversation that Deeks and Kensi have ever had," Olsen said in a recent interview. The episode "picks up exactly where we left off, continuous - [Deeks is] mid-torture, Kensi's in peril... I can't give it away, but even that is 'To Be Continued...'"
