The 2013 Billboard Mexican Music Awards, an event that will pay homage to Mexican music, will be hosted by actor Rafael Anaya and actress Aylín Mujica, reported Terra. This event will take place on Oct. 9 at 7:00 p.m. and will be broadcasted from the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Calif.

Handsome Rafael Anaya is one of the most sought-after celebrities right now because he has starred in telenovelas from Telemundo, some plays and films in English and Spanish, as well as European TV shows.

Anaya was the protagonist in the TV show "El Señor de los Cielos" by the same channel, which broke audience records in 2013, netting her the Tu Mundo Award. He also had a role in the show "La Reina del Sur" and in telenovela "Alguien Te Mira." He has also hosted other awards show like the Billboard Mexican Music Awards, the Billboard Latin Music Awards and the Tu Mundo Awards.

On the other hand, Terra noted Aylín Mujica's participation in music, cinema, theater and TV show hosting. Her career stood out in the same channel, Telemundo, thanks to her roles in "Corazón Valiente" and "Aurora." Her upcoming appearances in "Top Chef: Estrellas" and the Spanish version of "Top Chef" are also to be watched out for. Like Anaya, Mujica also hosted the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

Going back to the 2013 Billboard Mexican Music Awards, there will be 32 categories in all. These include Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Artist of the Year, Debut, Digital Download, Airplay and others for genres like Banda, Norteña and Mariachi, among others.

Among the finalists are the late "Diva of Banda" Jenni Rivera and bands La Arrolladora Banda Limón, Roberto Tapia, Voz de Mando, Banda El Recodo de Cruz Lizárraga, Calibre 50, Joan Sebastian and 3BallMTY.
