The new Kalos region starter Pokémon's second evolutions have been announced as the sixth-generations video games set to be released in October.

The Pokémon Company International have announced the evolutions for Chespin, Froakie, and Fennekin as well as their official moves.

Starting with the Grass-type Pokémon, Chespin's second evolution is Quilladin, who retains its single Grass-type classification. Quilladin's hard spokes have grown to be sturdier and can withstand the impact of a tractor-trailer truck without a flinch.

Quilladin, also known as the Spiny Armor Pokémon, only fights an opponent when attacked first. One confirmed move for Quilladin is the Ground-type move Mud Shot, which not only damages the enemy but also reduces the speed of the opponent. Although Quilladin uses a Ground-type move, it is not a Ground-type Pokémon although it still remains unknown if its final form would add a second-type.

Fennekin's evolution is Braixen. The Fire-type Fox Pokémon's evolution is seen with a small twig tucked in its tail, which Braixen often gnaws on and can use in battle.

In regards to movesets, Braixen can learn the Psychic-type move Psyshock, which is a special move that can damage the opponent depending on the rival's Defense stats. According to The Pokémon Company International, Psyshock is more effective against an opponent with high Special Defense.

Finally, Water-type Pokémon Froakie evolves into Frogadier. The Bubble Frog Pokémon is able to reach up to 2,000-foot towers and can utilize its leaps against an opponent.

Despite being a Water-type Pokémon, Frogadier can learn the Flying-type move Bounce, which sees the Pokémon jump into the air during the first turn and then drop on the opponent on the second turn. Bounce is super effective against Grass-type Pokémon such as Chespin and Quilladin.

Meanwhile, a tweet by the official Pokémon account announced a special "surprise" will be revealed on Mon., Sept. 16 at 11 a.m. EST.

"Heads up, Trainers! We've got a surprise for you! Tune in Monday at 8 a.m. PDT for a special announcement!" read the tweet.

Latinos Post will have full coverage to the "surprise" once revealed.

The "Pokémon X" and "Pokémon Y" video games will be released in North America, Europe, Japan and Australia on Oct. 12 for the Nintendo 3DS and the new Nintendo 2DS. The games have a suggested retail price of $39.99, each.
