Senegal and Uganda will face off in a crucial battle in the CAF World Cup Qualifiers on Saturday.

Both clubs are battling for the top spot in Group J. Senegal currently leads the crowd with nine points while Uganda trails by just one point. The winner of the group heads to the third round where it will face another first place winner in a two-legged playoff. The winner of that battle will head to the World Cup Finals in Brazil next summer.

Senegal can clinch the top spot with a draw against Uganda. That would leave Senegal with 10 points and keep Uganda one point behind. Senegal has won twice and drawn three times in this tournament.

The mission is more difficult for Uganda as the nation must pull off a win in this match to qualify for the third round. Anything less than three points means elimination for Uganda and progress for Senegal.

Uganda started its tournament with a 1-1 draw against Angola. In its second game of the tournament the team drew 1-1 against Senegal at home. A 2-0 loss against Liberia put Uganda in a precarious situation, but the team responded in its ensuing games. A 1-0 win over Liberia followed and Uganda pulled off a 2-1 win in its most recent match against Angola.

Prediction: Senegal will be home; the team has not won a qualifier in front of its home fans since the opener against Liberia. Look for Senegal to play a conservative style and pull off a 1-1 draw.

Start Time: 3 p.m. EST

The match will not be live streamed in the USA.
