Uzbekistan and Jordan will face off in the first leg of the AFC World Cup Qualifiers Fifth Round.

The winner of the matchup will take on the fifth place CONMEBOL team for a chance to clinch a berth in the 2014 World Cup Finals next summer in Brazil.

Uzbekistan finished third in Group A of the fourth round. The team opened its campaign with a 1-0 loss against Iran but managed a 1-1 draw against Lebanon in its second matchup. In the third game Uzbekistan drew 2-2 against South Korea before finally earning a win in a 1-0 finish against Qatar. A pair of 1-0 wins over Iran and Lebanon followed and it seemed that Uzbekistan was slated to earn one of the top two spots in the group and book an automatic berth. However, a 1-0 loss against South Korea set the team back with only a massive victory over Qatar or an Iranian loss in the final match allowing Uzbekistan to avoid third place. Iran won against Korea and Uzbekistan pulled off a 5-1 win; however, the team had a +5 differential and Korea had a +6 difference in goals. Both teams had 14 points.

Jordan finished in third place in Group B with 10 points; the team won three games, drew one, and lost four. Jordan clinched the spot with a 1-0 win over fourth place Oman in its final qualifying match of the group stage.

Prediction: Uzbekistan looks to be the favorite in this game and should pull off a 2-1 away win.

Start Time: 12 p.m. EST
