Former RBD Maite Perroni perfomed the songs of her first solo álbum "Eclipse de Luna" (Eclipse of the Moon) on Saturday at People en Español Festival held in Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. The 30-year-old singer and actress shared her excitement for having performed solo for the very first time. "I feel very fortunate I was invited to the second edition of the Festival. I'm very happy," Perroni told People en Español.

After finishing her performance, which was her U.S. tour opening show, the "Tu y Yo" singer confessed she was actually very nervous. "It was the first time I was on stage singing the 'Eclipse de Luna' songs, so obviously I was very nervous but very happy to be sharing this moment with the people from San Antonio," said Perroni, according to People en Español.

In a previous interview, Perroni said, "I am very excited to be today at the Festival of People en Español because it is the first time I'll sing on stage, is the first time that I will share with the live audience. I feel lucky and happy that they invited me, so I hope you have fun and you like it."

Last week, the singer held an autograph session to share the "Eclipse de Luna" release. According to People, Perroni wants to conquer her fans with this solo album. She said, "it's an album that has bachata, vallenato, ballads, it also has a dance song for night clubs, has a bit of everything. It's a record that is not set in one genre, but rather, is a Latin fusion."

During the autograph session, the singer also talked about the criticism she received for her outfit in the Premios Juventud awards by saying she was looking to dress like a real and regular woman for her fans. "On that subject I have always remained at the same point of view. I'm a regular woman like any other. I've never pretended to have a different image of a real woman, and as real women we have good and bad days, some days we look beautiful, some days we are ugly. Now I am happy and I don't worry about that".

"Eclipse de Luna's" first single, bachata-flavored "Tu y Yo", was launched in mid-June to chart success. Perroni released the song in her Google+ page to thousands of followers from various countries like Greece, Slovenia, Poland, and Latin America such as Chile, Venezuela, Brazil and Colombia.
