Selena Gomez Taught Ethan Hawke How to Twerk On Set of 'Getaway'

Singer and actress Selena Gomez taught "Getaway" costar Ethan Hawke how to twerk while on set of their the new action movie, according to E! Online.

"The only thing that's new about that is the word!" said Hawke during the "Getaway" conference held at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in New York City. "People have been shaking their ass [forever]," he added. "It's true," said Gómez with a laugh.

When asked about what else he learned from his costar, Hawke said "What are things I've learned from Selena Gomez? It's like my summer report!"

Gómez told E! Online how much she admired and respected the 42-year-old actor. "More than anything I loved hearing his stories because he's been doing this for a while," she said. "So I was very wide-eyed when he would tell a lot of stories because it was interesting, and he doesn't realize when you speak you use a lot of words of wisdom."

Directed by Courtney Solomon, "Getaway" follows the story of Brent Magna (Hawke) whose wife (Leanne Magna) has been kidnapped. An anonymous man's voice (Jon Voight) leads him to a Mustang where he must follow every order the voice gives him if he ever wants to see his wife again. While Brent is following the voice's directions, Gomez's character (The Kid) tries to mug him at gunpoint and gets sucked into the evil plan.

During a press conference, Gómez talked about her role in the movie and the future of her music career.

"It was really fun for me to pretend to know about cars and technology because I know nothing about it, so I actually did get to learn a lot about it, " said the "Come and Get It" singer. "As far as having done that in my real life, I don't know, I stole a ChapStick when I was seven, at a store," she confessed.

The young star recently confirmed rumors she was stepping back from her music career to focus on acting. "I'm actually on tour-so I'm in the middle of music at the moment. I constantly find myself-I'm a woman-so I change my mind all the time," said Gómez.

The singer started her Stars Dance tour last week. After performing in Canada, Gómez posted a picture on Instagram where she can be seen on a plane with two big ice packs on her knees. "Now, I hurt, everywhere," she wrote in the caption.
