More details are emerging about the highly anticipated Galaxy Gear smartwatch accessory, which will be unveiled along with the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 in September and will probably have a release date soon afterwards in October.

According to an unnamed inside source for SamMobile, the Galaxy Gear will come in five color options, though which color you get depends on how long you can wait to buy the new smartwatch. On the first release date, reportedly around week 39, which is late September, you'll be able to get the Samsung Galaxy Gear in White, Orange, Gray and Black. If you can wait another week though, Samsung will start shipping a "White Gold" version of the Galaxy Gear.

The new iPhone was just revealed to have gold color option, so it looks like bling is the thing for the 2013-2014 tech cycle.

Rumored specs also leaked recently for the Galaxy Gear. An anonymous tipster, also for SamMobile, said that the Galaxy Gear would have a Samsung Exynos 4212 dual core processor, clocked at 1.5GHz, with an ARM-based Mali-400 MP4 GPU and 1GB of RAM assisting. The display is 3-centimeters-by-3-centimeters, or about 1.67-inches with a 320 x 320p resolution. A 2-megapixel camera will be on the device, which of course has Bluetooth connectivity but also NFC capability.

The Samsung Mobile Unpacked 2013: Episode 2 event will take place on Sept. 4 in Berlin, just before the IFA 2013 consumer electronics show kicks off in the same city. At the event, the Samsung Galaxy Gear is expected to be unveiled, alongside the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. Rumored specs for the Galaxy Note 3 include a 5.68-inch Super AMOLED display with 1920 x 1080p Full HD resolution, along with a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (or an Exynos 5420 chip, depending on which market you're in) and 3GB of RAM. It will likely have a 3,200 mAh battery and 32GB or 64GB of storage.
