A demo for "Pokémon X and Y" was released for play at Gamescom 2013, and a video has now appeared on YouTube.

Courtesy of NintenDaan1, the demo for "Pokémon X" features the male protagonist meeting with journalist Alexa, the sister for confirmed gym leader Viola.

Alexa alerts the player that Professor Augustine Sycamore is awaiting him with some Pokémon news.

After the conversation, the player encounters a wild Pikachu and a battle commences with Froakie. Pikachu faints after Froakie's Water Pulse attack.

Next, the player rides on a Skiddo, the pre-evolution of Gogoat.

After the ride, the player battles the main female protagonist, who's given the name Serena. She has a Chespin, the Grass-type starter Pokémon for "Pokémon X and Y." The first round ends in Froakie's favor after using Round. As Chespin faints, Serena sends out Gabite. In return, the player sends out Helioptile. The second battle ends abruptly as Helioptile faints. Sylveon is the player's next Pokémon and easily defeats Gabite.

The player then walks around a grass area to find a Flabébé.

Shauna is battled next, and she has a Fennekin. The Fire-type starter Pokémon easily faints after Froakie's Water Pulse.

Wild Pokémon can be seen wandering around the game such as Fletchling and Marill.

Finally, the player meets Prof. Sycamore, who presents the gamer with a Mewtwo.

A battle starts against the professor with his Crobat, Chandelure and Dragonite. The player's Mewtwo is seen Mega Evolving into Mega Mewtwo. All the Pokémon involved in the battle against Prof. Sycamore are Level 100.

The player ultimately wins, and the demo session ends with a reminder to purchase the full game.

On an interesting note, the wild Pikachu's cry sounds the same as its anime voice.

According to GameSpot, PAX Prime will also feature a public hands-on demo of the sixth-generation video games. As announced by Nintendo, a Pokémon gaming lounge will be established at the Washington State Convention Center during the four-day event. PAX Prime starts on Aug. 30.

"Pokémon X and Y" is set for a worldwide release date on Oct. 12 for the Nintendo 3DS.

As Latinos Post reported, the "Pokémon X and Y" launch date will also feature the Torchic distribution event. The starter Pokémon from the Hoenn region will hold an item named "Blazikenite." The item will transform Blaziken into "MegaBlaziken." The event is set to take place from Oct. 12 until Jan. 15, 2014.
