The three legendary Pokémon will be released during separate periods starting with Shiny Dialga.

Dialga will be distributed first starting Aug. 19 until Sunday, Sept. 8. Shiny Palkia will then start its distribution from Sept. 9 to Sept. 29. Finally, Shiny Giratina will be available from Sept. 30 to Oct. 20.

For Canadians, the Shiny Dialga event starts on Aug. 30 at select EB Games locations. Shiny Palkia will then start its event on Sept. 13, while Shiny Giratina commences on Sept. 27.

To obtain any of these three, a Nintendo DS or Nintendo 3DS is necessary.

"Players will need to have the Pokédex within the game and have no more than 11 Wonder Cards in their possession," noted The Pokémon Company International.

The distribution of the three legendary Pokémon from generation four comes as "Pokémon X and Y" is set to arrive worldwide. The sixth-generation video games are set for an Oct. 12 release date for the Nintendo 3DS.

Pokémon fans who pre-order either version of the games at GameStop can receive a "Pokémon X and Y" poster featuring the Kalos region map and legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal. The posters are in limited supply.
