One Direction fans have been going wild over the boy band's new single that leaked from their upcoming album earlier this week.
The song, "Just Can't Let Her Go," emerged online over the weekend, reports the Huffington Post. Like the debut single from their new LP, "Best Song Ever," "Just Can't Let Her Go" is another up-tempo party anthem. This could mean that the group's third studio album will focus less on love songs and more so on feel-good tracks with slightly mature themes. "Just Can't Let Her Go" also features a stomping beat and rocking melody in the chorus, and uses rich harmonies, notes Mstarz.
Lyrically, "Just Can't Let Her Go" is about a woman who treats her boyfriend poorly, however, because she is undeniably sexy and desirable, her boyfriend just can't seem to let her loose.
"She's so mean but I kind of love it, and I just can't let her go, / I'm so whipped, a tiny little, she's a sexy animal, / Spends too much and I never tell her no, / Drives me nuts and she got me by the throat, / And she's so mean but I just can't let her go," 1D belts in the song's chorus.
Fans are also speculating if the song was written about Taylor Swift, One Direction singer Harry Styles' ex-girlfriend, reports Hollywood Take.
The band--Niall Horan, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson--are scheduled to drop their third studio album later this on year, following their 2012 record, "Take Me Home." With the track's "accidental" leak, the song has definitely made a splash in the media.
