Saints Row 4 News: Million Dollar Special Edition Announced

How much is too much for a video game? While some special editions of video games will cost gamers over one hundred dollars, Deep Silver has taken collector editions of a video game to a whole new level. For Saints Row 4, the publisher has taken the idea of a collectors edition to a whole new level with the  Saints Row IV Wad Wad Edition. This edition of the game is one of a kind, and will cost one million dollars.  The Wad Wad Edition of the game appears to only be available in Europe and can be found here.

The Wad Wad Edition of Saints Row 4 comes with the Commander-In-Chief edition of the game, but that is the small potatoes compared to the other prizes involved. A full sized dubstep gun will be provided with the game, as opposed to the smaller replica that comes with the Super Dangerous Wub Wub Edition of the game. The game comes with two real cars, a Toyota Prius and a Lamborghini Gallardo. The Prius will come with one full year of insurance, and the buyer will get a full year of supercar membership. Plastic Surgery is being offered, though it did not specify what kind of surgery options the buyer would be able to receive. A free week at luxury hotels in both Washington DC and in Dubai is part of the package, along with free airfare between the two destinations. Spy training and hostage rescue simulations also part of the deal. Finally, perhaps the craziest part of this already insane package is a trip to space via Virgin Galactic Space Flights.

Of course, it is highly doubtful that anybody would care enough about any game to buy a million dollar edition of the game, and in the fine print it is revealed that none of the prizes advertised for the Wad Wad Edition are guaranteed, so this looks more like a grab for publicity than a serious offer from Deep Silver.

Saints Row 4 will be available on August 20, and has faced some issues being able to be released in some international markets. The game was initially banned in Australia, but now has been modified and given the OK to come to the country. The game will feature the traditional Saints Row experience, mixed with aliens and super powers.
