The ladies of Bluebell are in for an exciting and charming new visitor this fall. “Chuck” vet Ryan McPartlin has been confirmed for a guest role in the upcoming season of the CW’s “Hart of Dixie.”

According to TV Guide, the actor has been nabbed for a guest spot playing Carter Covington, “a chivalrous and extremely charming Southern gentleman who is one of the most eligible bachelors in the South--and every Southern Belle’s dream husband.”

While it remains to be seen who exactly will Carter woo during his time in Bluebell, there are limited choices. It could be Zoe (Rachel Bilson), who has enough on her hands with Wade (Wilson Bethel) and George (Scott Porter), or Bluebell native Lemon (Jaime King), who found herself very much single in the season 2 finale. McPartlin’s arrival could also prove to be a way to introduce King’s pregnancy into the season.

However, the “Chuck” actor won’t be the only guest star this upcoming season. As previously reported, actress Antoinette Robertson has been cast as Lavon’s (Cress Williams) cousin Lynly, while “Dexter” actor Josh Cooke nabbed the role of Joel, a New Yorker who shows up in the season premiere.

Along with a heap of new faces, “Hart of Dixie” will also welcome actress Kaitlyn Black (Annabeth) as a series regular. Show creator Leila Gerstein told TVLine, “Kaitlyn started off with one line, and we fell in love with her.”

She added, “Her part has grown and grown as the writing staff has become more enraptured with Annabeth (and Kaitlyn). And, at this point, she has become so integral to the series-as Lemon's best friend, as Lavon's girlfriend, and as Zoe's confidante-that we needed to make sure she was all ours!"

“Hart of Dixie” season 3 premieres on October 7 at 8 p.m. on The CW.
