Broadway darling Laura Bell Bundy is once again making the move from the stage to the small screen as the newest cast member of "Anger Management." The FX show will return for season two with Bundy as the new love interest for Charlie Sheen's character Dr. Charlie Goodson, a troubled minor-league baseball player turned psychologist. Bundy is replacing Selma Blair as Sheen's love interest after Blair was reportedly fired from the show last season.

According to E! Online, Bundy, an actress best known for her Tony-nominated role of Elle Woods in "Legally Blonde: The Musical," will be playing Dr. Jordan Denby. Dr. Denby will act as Charlie's new sex study research partner. Dr. Denby is an exceptional psychologist who was recently divorced, loves her alcohol and has tempestuous mood swings. All of those attributes makes for an explosive combination that complicates Charlie's life.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show's producers described the character of Denby to Bundy as the following: "If Charlie and Kate were like Sam and Diane on 'Cheers,' then you are Rebecca. Tough, career driven, neurotic and you wear your heart on your sleeve. And you hate yourself for eventually becoming attracted to Charlie."

Bundy has previously been seen on the small screen in "Hart of Dixie" and "How I Met Your Mother," where she played Robin's (Colbie Smulders) co-anchor and arch rival. Bundy is also a country singer, and is currently touring with Rascal Flatts before leaving to join "Anger Management."

The series was left without a female lead after Sheen fired Blair after she allegedly complained to producers about his lack of work ethic and chronic tardiness. E! Online reports that sources said Blair "really had no problem leaving after Charlie flew off the handle and seems to be at peace to be off the show." Blair played Kate, a therapist who had a "friends with benefits" relationship with Charlie.

It was also announced that Brian Austin Green will be permanently joining the cast. He will play Sean, Charlie's enemy who is the boyfriend of his ex-wife, Jennifer (Shawnee Smith).

"Anger Management" was picked up by FX for 90 more episodes, and is currently shooting its second season.
