Colombian actress Sofía Vergara shared a photo on Twitter last March to let her 4.2 million followers know she was now a blonde bombshell. She was recently photographed in Brentwood, California, while having lunch at Tavern looking fabulous with her lightened brunette locks.
On Wednesday (July 31), wearing leggings and a grey sweater, she was photographed debuting her new look, a photo published by US Magazine.
According to the Huffington Post, the multimillion-dollar starlet is a natural blonde, that's why the new look suits her perfectly.
"I'm a natural blonde, but when I started acting, I would go to auditions, and they didn't know where to put me because I was voluptuous and had the accent -- but I had blonde hair. The moment I dyed my hair dark, it was, 'Oh, she's the hot Latin girl.' I loved it. I'd always felt a little 'too much' as a blonde, like a big-mouth version of Pamela Anderson. Being brunette toned me down a bit," she told Self Magazine in a 2010 interview.
Early this year, the 41-year-old actress shared some photos on her Twitter account of herself back in the beginning of her career as a model in Colombia. In one of the pictures she can be seen as a little girl, a photo she captioned: "Haja me in Barranquilla during carnival."
In the picture, Vergara appears wearing a sailor outfit and red lipstick while holding a baby. In another shot, she is at the beach in her home country with an uncle, with her golden locks still intact. "Times fly!," she added as a caption.
The Modern Family actress also posted two pictures from her modeling days, when she made it to the cover of Blush magazine and when she landed a shampoo advertisement.
Vergara returned to her honey blonde locks after returning from her New Year's holiday in Miami, where she spent some quality time with her husband Nick Loeb, according to the Daily Mail. The couple recently vacationed in Mykonoes, Greece.
The actress is known for sharing moments of her life with her fans through her social networks accounts, documenting her bikini-filled summer. She recently told Harper's Bazaar that her body was in its best shape, despite dealing with the pressure of being a bombshell 24/7. "I'm Latin; I do it no matter what. It's automatic. I shower, do hair and makeup. For me, it's like shaving. I don't believe in a natural look. Lipstick brightens your face! Unless you're Gisele Bündchen or 19, you need something," she explained.
