Tiger Woods showcased the kind of performance that made him golf's most dominant force on Day 2. Now, it's up to him to sustain the momentum and avoid another late round collapse that has been haunting him in the past two Grand Slam tournaments.

Woods entered the third round of play at Firestone with an impeccable seven-stroke lead after shooting a 61 in the second round to book a 13-under 127 score. The world's no.1 golfer was in his element on Friday, hitting the greens with ease and making incredible putt after another. It was simply vintage Tiger at its finest.

Gunning for his first WGC Bridgestone Invitational title since 2009, Woods will be teei off at No.1 around 1:10 p.m EST. He is grouped with fellow pace-setters Keegan Bradley (6-under par) and Chris Wood (6-under par), who are currently tied at second place.

After shooting a 61 for the fourth time in his career, Woods is oozing with confidence heading into the penultimate round. Yet, he's aware that he needs to increase his seven-shot lead further to keep him in prime position for another title by Sunday.

"I'm very happy I was able to post that," Woods told ESPN. "I just kept thinking, whatever lead I had, let's just keep increasing this lead, and I think it's at seven now. So not too bad after two days."

Billy Haas (5-under par) and Henrik Stenson (5-under par), who will also tee off on no.1, are still very much in contention, but they have to make their moves now for them to keep within striking distance.
