For the first time in its programming, Escobar has been reduced to just a half hour schedule. The novela's run in Colombia is unfinished and the American run is slowly catching up, forcing Telemundo to slow down the programming. 

In Episode 16, Pablo decides that he and his associates will return to Colombia.

In the meantime a pilot is being interrogated about what he exports out of Colombia. The pilot denies ever dealing with drug dealers and is liberated. He then returns to his job with Pablo Escobar.

Fabio and Pablo's brother speak with the guerrilla and make a deal with them.  Pablo returns to Colombia and calls the police threatening to kill all their family members if they don't give protection to the Medellin cartel.

Pablo speaks with the guerrilla about the extradition laws. The guerrilla says that they will not agree with the cartels but will back the fight against US extradition. Pablo tells the guerrilla that he will back them in everything they need with armament, medicines, and food.
