For Lionel Messi, what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. The Barcelona superstar was caught red handed by paparazzi while cuddling a blonde dancer at a party in Las Vegas. The identity of the woman in question was not revealed by the publication and has been refered to as a "dancer" or "stripper" in different media outlets.

The incriminating pictures were published by Argentinian gossip magazine Pronto. The magazine reported on Messi's trip to Las Vegas in early July to be the guest of honor at a party hosted by Ronaldo in the Wynn Hotel.

According to some sources, the player's relationship with his young wife Antonella Messi, is now in crisis, because of the pictures that were taken. A source close to the marriage stated, "There is nothing to suggest anything more happened (between Messi and the dancer) but still Antonella is furious. She can't believe he has been so stupid and feels very let down by Leo. Whether she'll give him the red card or not remains to be seen but it's fair to say the sofa at their home may be getting a lot of use at the moment."

Messi and his 22-year-old wife welcomed their first son last November. They named their son Thiago and shared a picture of the newborn back in April.

2013 is turning out to be a tough year for the Argentinian born Messi. Last month it was revealed to the press that local authorities in Barcelona were investigating both the player and his father, Jorge Horacio, who works as his manager, for tax evasion. Both of them are accused of evading up to 3.4 million euros in three years by filing false tax returns.

Messi is accused of using companies located in Bolivia and Uruguay to receive all the compensation from the exploitation of his image, while still maintaining a fiscal residency in Spain, thus evading tax payments that related to those earnings.

Messi has maintained his innocence through out the whole ordeal and has blamed it on poor decision-making and the inexperience of his management team, led by his father. He posted a statement in Facebook saying that he hopes his name will be cleared as soon as possible so he can move on with his career.

The player has not released an official statement concerning the latest scandal in Las Vegas.
