Michael Phelps and Ryan Lochte will swim one after the other in tonight's 4x100 meter freestyle relay final.
Both were included in USA's swimming team lineup for the race in addition to Nathan Adrian and Cullen Jones according to a recent update by USAToday.

According to the media agency, TEAM USA's relay order remains as:

Ryan Lochte

Lane 1 - South Africa (Qual. 7th)
Lane 2 - Germany (Qual. 5th)
Lane 3 - Russia (Qual. 3rd)
Lane 4 - Australia (Qual. 1st)
Lane 5 - USA (Qual. 2nd)
Lane 6 - France (Qual. 4th)
Lane 7 - Belgium (Qual. 6th)
Lane 8 - Italy (Qual. 8th)
None of the USA swimmers that competed in the morning preliminaries, namely James Feigen, Matthew Grevers, Ricky Berens and Jason Lezak were included in the final lineup.
In the morning heats, USA qualified with the second best time of 3:12.59, one third of a second later than Australia.
While many expect Australia to win the relay tonight since they have two fantastic swimmers in James "The Rocket" Roberts and James "The Missile" Magnussen - the reigning 100m freestyle champion - it'll be interesting to see what type of performance Phelps and Lochte can reveal in the pool working as a team.
Phelps, Jones and Lezak were part of the team that established the world record (3:08.24 WR/OR) for the event in Beijing 2008 (the record still stands today).
Phelps will be hunting for his first gold medal of these Olympics while Lochte his second.
