The 2012 USA men's national basketball team, 'Dream Team', faces a NBA-packed French team in its debut game at the 2012 London Olympics.
Tip-off began at 9:30 a.m. EST and the USA was leading 52-36 by half time.

For USA, Kevin Durant lead the pack with 15 points while Tony Parker scored a total of 6 points for his team.
The 1st quarter was evenly fought by both teams and ended with USA leading by 1 point. By the 2nd quarter however, it seemed that USA stepped up its game by playing more aggressively and better asserting its field goal attempts. USA outscored France 30-15 in the 2nd quarter.
A second notable player for USA is Tyson Chandler who totaled 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 8 points by the half.
France's starting five is being clearly held by a strong USA defense that has force 12 French turnovers compared to USA's 6.
