WWE star Ric Flair has been arrested for failure to settle thousands of dollars-worth of spousal support.

According to Yahoo! Sports, a judge from the Macklenburg County, N.C. has issued an arrest warrant for the former professional wrestling champion after Flair's former wife Jacqueline Beems alleged he failed to pay $32,352.51 in support.

Flair, however, isn't disputing the allegations. In fact, "Nature Boy," as he was fondly called during his prime years in WWE, says he intends to pay Beems the amount as soon as possible.

The fighter also notes that his failure to settle payments wasn't intentional, but was forced by his month-long hospitalization.

"The reason I didn't pay my ex-wife the 32 grand is because my son died and I was in the hospital for a month," Flair told the Charlotte Observer. "I was in the hospital for a month with a blood clot. I didn't go to work for three months."

Flair, born Richard Fliehr, found his son, Reid, dead in his room at the SouthPark Hotel in N.C. on March 29. According to the Observer, Reid was only 25 when he passed away due to a toxic combination of heroin and prescription drugs.

The arrest warrant was issued on July 3, following an earlier order for Flair to settle his $32,000 debt to his ex-wife, which includes separation support, attorney's fees, Beem's car lease, car insurance and health insurance, USA Today noted.

"If defendant fails to purge his civil contempt...then he shall immediately turn himself in to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff and he shall remain in the custody of [the sheriff] until he pays all sums required," the earlier June 18 order stated, as reported by USA Today.

As for Beems, she turned herself into authorities on Tuesday after Flair's current girlfriend, Wendy Barlow Kidder, accused her of harassment over the phone. Beems was released on a $500 unsecured bond against a charge of misdemeanor.
