Michael Phelps' Olympic Schedule 2012: Events, Time, Preview and How to Watch the Live Online Streaming

Michael Phelps will be competing in seven events in London during the Olympics, one less than in Beijing's 2008 Olympics.

Phelps already has 14 Olympic Gold medals to his name which he won in the 2004 and 2008 Olympics.

If Phelps hits gold in each of the seven events in London, that means he will further immortalize himself as the athlete with most Olympic gold medals ever (a record he currently holds) and the athlete with most Olympic medals ever, a title currently held by Larisa Latynina from the former Soviet Union who has 18 medals in total (9 gold, 5 silver, and 4 bronze) compared to Phelps 16 (14 gold, 2 silver).

London 2012 will be Phelps last Olympics and he'll seek to seal his swimming career in golden fashion. However, he's going to face some tough competition in some of the events he competes as he faces, Ryan Lochte, the reigning champion (Fina 2011 Championships) in two of the events Phelps is competing in.

Lochte recently told ABC that he could feel in his body that he would be bringing back the gold this summer. Phelps on the other hand has commented that his stroke and swimming has improved since the USA Olympic Trials in Omaha when he was defeated by Lochte in the 400m Individual medley finals.
