As the London Olympic Games 2012 commence, the majority of the world will have its eyes on US swimmer Michael Phelps.

In this edition of the games, the eight-time medal winner in the 2008 Beijing games will seek out seven more medals.

His schedule starts on July 28. His most difficult day comes on July 31 with three major events. He starts the day with the Men's 4x200 meter freestyle qualifier at 11 a.m., London Time. If he qualifies, he gets a shot at the Men's 200 meter Butterfly final later that day. Then follows its up with the Freestyle final at 8:47 p.m. London Time, if he qualifies of course.
Phelps is a favorite for the Butterfly event.
On August 2nd he will participate in the 100m Butterfly Heats at 11:14 p.m., London Time. At 8:16 p.m., local time he gets a shot at the Men's 200 m Individual Medley Final before taking on the semi-finals of the 100m Butterfly at 8:51 p.m.. The Individual Medley is the race to watch as it regroups Phelps with Ryan Lochte, his greatest rival.
Phelps ends his time in London on August 4 with the Men's 4x100m Medley Relay Finals, if they qualify of course. After London, he has stated that he will no longer compete in Olympic events.
