Fans are gearing up for an exciting week filled with TV spoilers, film sneak peaks and scoop about the entertainment industry at this year's San Diego Comic Con. Comic Con is the one thing that helps them get through the hot summer months as they wait eagerly for their favorite fall TV shows. One of those shows, "Once Upon a Time," will be holding its own panel later this week with what is sure to be juicy details about its third season.

In the meantime, some news about the show's growing guest star list has made its way out of the writers' room. TVLine reported that Giancarlo Esposito ("Revolution") will make an appearance in one of the first episodes of the season. According to TVLine's Matt Webb Mitovich, it remains unclear what character Esposito will reprise come the fall. In the past, the actor has portrayed Storybrooke's chief journalist, the Evil Queen's Magic Mirror and the Genie of Agrabah.

Esposito is just one of the few actors confirmed for guest roles in the upcoming season. Actresses Sarah Bolger (Princess Aurora) and Jamie Chung (Mulan) and actor Julian Morris (Prince Phillip) are expected to reprise their roles early on in the season.

One actor that will not be reprising his role in the magical series any time soon is Sinqua Walls, who played the brave Lancelot in one episode early last season. According to TVLine, the show refuted an early report that Walls would be making an appearance on season three. "We have no plans at this time to bring back the character," the show told TVLine.

Fans are bound to learn much more about the show's upcoming third season during the cast's appearance at Comic Con later this week. "Once" will appear in its own panel on Saturday, June 20. Co-creators and executive producers Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz will participate in the panel, which will also include Ginnifer Goodwin (Mary Margaret/Snow White), Jennifer Morrison (Emma), Robert Carlyle (Mr. Gold/ Rumpelstiltskin), Josh Dallas (David/Prince Charming), Emilie de Ravin (Belle), Colin O'Donoghue (Hook) and Michael Raymond James (Neal).

ABC has yet to release information on the show's season premiere; however, it is expected to return on Sundays.
