There's nothing more exciting than when an actor from your favorite TV show makes an appearance on one of your other favorite shows. Well fans of "Arrested Development" and "The Good Wife" will be very excited to hear that actor Jeffrey Tambor (George Bluth in "Arrested") will be making a guest appearance in "The Good Wife" season premiere.

According to Huffington Post TV, Tambor will play a judge who will preside over a case involving the death penalty. Tambor joins an interesting list of slated guest actors in the show's upcoming season.

As previously reported, "Outsourced" alum Ben Rappaport has been tapped for a recurring role. Rappaport will play Carey, a fourth-year attorney at Lockhart-Gardner who is jumping ship with Alicia (Julianna Marguilies) and Cary (Matt Czuchry). The actor will join fellow guest stars Melissa George (Marilyn) and Juliet Rylance (Holly).

George's Marilyn will be the in-house ethics counsel for newly-elected Governor Florrick (Chris Noth). Meanwhile, Rylance's Holly will be "a whip-smart Assistant State's Attorney who shares a past with Kalinda (Archie Panjabi)."

It was also reported that recurring character David Lee (Zach Grenier) was promoted to series regular earlier this summer. News of the actor's promotion was shared by CBS Television Studios' Twitter account on June 20.

While most scoop for the upcoming season has revolved new cast members, some details about what to expect have made their way out. As previously reported, Alicia's relationship with Will (Josh Charles) will be on the balance after she jumps ship with Carey.

While Holly has been slated as a new "romantic foil" for Kalinda, that won't mean there won't be any Kalinda-Cary action. Producers of the show previously told reporters they were planning "a lot of surprises" for Kalinda and Cary.

"The Good Wife" returns for season five on Sunday, September 29 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
