Fueled by the newspaper article in El Espectador Ortiz and Santolini decide to turn on Escobar as they do not want to be affiliated with drug lords.
In an interview with Lara, the defense secretary reveals that Escobar killed the two policemen who arrested him and that his passport was revoked.
Infuriated Pablo orders his men to take all El Espectador's newspapers off the market and burn the newspapers. Pablo sends his men and throws papers out of an airplane telling the people to not buy El Espectador.
However his associates think that the plan it will not work and convince the drug lord that the fight is not against El Espectador but against Rodrigo Lara Bonilla.
At night Gonzalo tells Pablo that Patty does not want to have his child. Patty tells Pablo that she feels like a tool.
Regina meets with Lara and tells him not hurt to Pablo Escobar anymore.
In Medllin, Santolini meets with Pablo Escobar and tells him that he is no longer willing to help. Santolini asks Escobar to renounce congress but Pablo refuses. In a press conference Escobar retires from congress giving Lara the victory.
In the meantime the police raid a laboratory producing Cocaine for Escobar. The police find tons of Cocaine as Nikki of El Espectador takes photographs of the evidence. However they are unable to prove that Pablo Escobar has ties with the laboratory.
Escobar faults Rogrigo Lara for all the problems he has. However his associates disagree and blame Pablo for having entered politics. Escobar and his associates agree that they must do something about Lara.
Guillermo of El Espectador tells Lara that he should be careful with Escobar. In the meantime Pablo Escobar and his men decide to take Rodrigo Lara out of power by killing him.The police warn Lara that his life is at risk and that they need reinforce security.
Escobar decides to open at least ten more laboratories for cocaine production.The next episode airs tomorrow on Telemundo at 10pm.
