Less than a week after the season eight premiere of "Dexter" and fans are still hungry for more details regarding the final season. The popular Showtime series has captivated viewers with Dexter (Michael C. Hall) and his Dark Passenger.
The season premiere introduced a vital new character called Dr. Vogel (Charlotte Rampling), who fans learned was behind the code Dexter lives by. A preview of Sunday's new episode, "Every Silver Lining," shows her "calling in a favor" from Dexter. Another sneak peak has Vogel showing Dex a piece of brain from a victim. Some are wondering if Dr. Vogel is actually the "Brain Surgeon." However, TV Guide places some doubts on that possibility. "Maybe. But it seems strange that she would then volunteer to help Miami Metro hunt down the killer, right? It'll pretty quickly get stranger when Dr. Vogel becomes a target of the Brain Surgeon," TV Guide's Natalie Abrams said.
Abrams added, "I still think Vogel is culpable, but of what? A source tells me it's complicated." It's clear that Vogel will play a critical role in Dexter's life. Will she eventually lead him to his demise and what will she do to Dexter and Debs relationship?
In related news, Entertainment Weekly reported that there's possibly a girl in Masuka's future. EW teased, "Take in this scenario: A pretty girl walks into the police department. She asks for Masuka. He's drooling. What happens next will rock his world..."
