CBS' popular crime drama "Criminal Minds" may not be returning until late September for its ninth season, but that hasn't stopped fans from searching high and low for any details on the upcoming season. Now that the full cast is on board for season nine, spoilers are slowly trickling in.

According to TV Guide, Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) will be very much single in season nine. Showrunner Eric Messer teased, "He feels like he's still with Maeve and that would feel like a betrayal to Maeve, so we're not going to go there this year." Reid won't be the only single guy at the BAU, as Rossi will also be abstaining from another relationship.

However, Messer added, "I wouldn't rule out meeting another one of his wives."

Meanwhile, actress Kirsten Vangsness, who portrays Garcia, told Entertainment Weekly she hopes her character continues to see Kevin (Nicholas Brendon). "I really like the storyline of her having another guy and her ex being upset," Vangsness said. "I like that she gets so much action, so I really hope they continue that. The nerdy girls aren't typically the ones you see dating. They're usually holed up in their batcaves."

Vangsness also shares some tidbits on the upcoming season nine premiere, which will focus on a man who kills women who look like his ex. "[The storyline] is pretty complicated," the actress told EW. "I was a little confused for a second and then I figured it out and was like, 'Wow!'"

She added that the show's ninth season may focus on a new direction. "I hear they want to tell a lot of origin stories this season-how we got to where we are. And I really enjoy those, when they go back and get into our personal stuff. And if they do that, it will afford us to go back and bring people back, like Strauss," she said.

"Criminal Minds" returns for its ninth season on Wednesday, September 25 at 9 p.m. on CBS.
