Happy birthday America! The residents of Boston are all gearing up for this year's Fourth of July celebration. As a tradition, the celebration will be highlighted by amazing display of music and fireworks. Being the proud birthplace of the American Revolution, Boston has a long list of Independence Day activities from parades, fireworks, to kids' activities, family picnics, and street parties for people of all ages.

Boston's 40th Fourth of July celebrations will hit a peak during the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular on July 4 at the Charles River Esplanade. The free open-air show will showcase a 21-minute stunning pyrotechnic display of color and lights. The oval grounds will be open early in the morning to make way for various activities including a concert to drum up the fireworks show that will begin at 9:30 p.m. EST.

The concert will feature Grammy winner Susan Tedeschi, singer-songwriter Howie Day; with performances from Ayla Brown and Ellis Hall. Boston Pops will also play their classic Independence Day rendition of Tchaikovsky's "1812 Overture". Complete details of the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular can be found here.
