The Playstation 4 surged in popularity following Sony's tremendous showing at their E3 press conference, but failed to mention one key piece of information: the device's release date. Fear not, NeoGAF forum member Cyborg may have the answers you're all looking for, according to an IGN report.

The user in question recently posted a photo of promotional material for the PS4 at Media Markt, a sizeable electronics chain in the Netherlands. The ad clearly promises a November 13, 2013 release date, which reportedly lines up with online listings from other outlets in the region, explains IGN. Sony responded to the site's release date inquiry, but neither confirmed nor denied the rumor.

Likewise, Geek.com reports that an ad in the UK publication The Sun suggests a November 21 launch date. While release dates often differ between countries, these leaks may very well be premature estimates. Expect Sony to announce the official release date of the console in the months ahead. As of now, the company has only confirmed that the PS4 will hit store shelves this holiday season.

The PS4 will cost $399.99, one hundred dollars less than its competition, Microsoft's Xbox One. Sony won players' hearts and minds over at E3 with the announcement that first-party games would ship without DRM and that used games would function as they always have. Microsoft, who had previously released a convoluted policy manual for the Xbox One which many perceived as an infringement of their digital rights, was backed into a corner. Just yesterday, Microsoft completely reversed its stance on DRM, and has since seen a surge in pre-order sales. As they say, everyone loves a good fight.
