Uzbekistan will look to salvage its World Cup 2014 hopes when it takes on Qatar in the final group matches on Tuesday.

With 11 points in seven matches, Uzbekistan has already clinched at least third place in Group A. The top two teams in Group A automatically earn a berth in the World Cup finals next summer. The third place team has to take on at least two more teams in order to qualify. It must first defeat the third place team in the AFC Group B. The winner of that matchup then faces the fifth place CONMEBOL team for a chance to qualify.

Uzbekistan currently trails first place South Korea by three points and is two points behind second place Iran; both teams will be facing off on Monday. This gives Uzbekistan a huge opportunity to jump into one of the top two spots. A South Korean win coupled with a victory for Uzbekistan clinches the World Cup berth for the latter side. An Iranian victory coupled with a win by Uzbekistan could lead to qualification for Uzbekistan if it manages to improve its goal differential; South Korea has a +7 goal difference while Uzbekistan only has a +1 differential.

Qatar has already been eliminated from qualification.

Prediction:  Uzbekistan pulls off a 3-0 victory.

Start Time: Kick Off begins at 8 AM EST.
