The Elder Scrolls Online is one of the most intriguing MMO's to come out this year. Combining the lore and landscape of previous Elder Scrolls games, along with exciting combat, has led many to sign up for the game's beta and place a preorder. At this year's E3, developer Bethesda revealed that the game, slated for a 2013 release on the PC, will appear on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in the spring of 2014. On the PS4 in particular, players will be given exclusive early access to the beta.

As for the game's progression system, Massively tracked down an unnamed employee of Bethesda's during E3, and he revealed that maxing out your character' level is only the beginning of the game:

"You can level all the way from 1 to 50 with your character; that's 140 to 150 hours of content. Once you get to level 50, maybe you don't want to participate in the PvP endgame or you're not interested in group dungeons, but you really want to play more of the game. You can take the character and go back through the other alliances, but all of the content is scaled to level 50. So you can start playing through another chunk of content, but everything is harder. Once you've played through all of that, you can do it again through the remaining alliance, but everything is even harder. We call it '50+' and '50++.' Basically there are two additional tracks of content you can use with each character."

This is huge news, and in more ways than one. Bethesda is potentially offering hundreds upon hundreds of hours of gameplay with the game, and a franchise such as Elder Scrolls will surely attract many fans who will attempt to go through all three tracks with one character.
