Famous celebrity sculptor Daniel Edwards has turned Kim Kardashian's pregnant body into a life-size piece of art.

Edwards debuted his statue of a nude and very pregnant Kardashian at the LAB Art Gallery in Los Angeles on Wednesday, reports the Huffington Post. The American sculptor says he was inspired by the media's constant criticism of the reality star and her changing body and decided to create his own replica of Kim K. to illuminate her beauty.

"I was inspired by the beauty of Kim Kardashian and felt quite put-off by the media's criticism of her weight gain during pregnancy. Such criticism should be off limits," Edwards said in a press release.

Edwards' PR firm, Cory Allen Contemporary Art, added that "We live in a media-absorbed culture where anyone can access and share a celebrity's most intimate moments. Daniel visually captures 'that' intimacy."

According to Edwards, the mommy-to-be, and other pregnant Hollywood stars, are the ultimate symbol of fertility. As a result, the artist portrays the 32-year-old curvaceous socialite without arms in order to draw attention to her burgeoning belly and "lactiferous" breasts.

"People tend to look at the parts, like the creases in her armpits, or how she wore a dress that makes her look like a killer whale," the artist said in an interview with L.A. Magazine. "I'm stripping it of the details people get stuck on, so they can see the beauty."

Edwards' most recent work is part of the "L.A. Fertility" exhibition, which is a continuation of the "Celebrity Baby Boomer" series that began in 2006. That year, he made headlines for his naked sculpture of Britney Spears delivering her baby on a bear skin rug. The piece, titled "Monument to Pro-Life: The Birth of Sean Preston," was a nod to the pro-life movement.
