Amanda Bynes has garnered a lot of controversy for her recent erratic behavior, childlike Twitter celebrity attacks and substance abuse related arrests. While it's understandable why many people believe that the 27-year-old troubled actress is suffering from a mental illness, a new report suggests that she actually is schizophrenic and is using a secret Twitter account to express her strange, dark thoughts.

Despite having over a million followers on Twitter, the former child star is only following 13 different Twitter accounts, and one of them happens to be an account with the name "Barbie" with the handle @persiannyc27. Bynes has even retweeted the mysterious account, which lacks a bio description and photo and has only published 20 tweets in total since it was created. However, most of the messages published under the "Barbie" account are vexed and unsettling. For instance, on June 4, 2013, "Barbie" tweeted the message, "You're so ugly I want to stab your face with a knife, carve out ur eye balls and stab your voice box so I no longer have to hear your voice."
On June 6, the account also wrote "Every time you hurt me I'll hurt you."
According to PerezHilton.com, this is a clear sign that Bynes is, in fact, the creator of the account, which she is using as an outlet of expression for one of her dark, schizophrenic personalities.
The celebrity gossip site goes on noting that new reports of an avatar system have been published recently, suggesting that those suffering schizophrenia can help control the voices they hear by creating a separate, digital identity for who they believe to be inside their head.
While there is no evidence to prove that this is the case, the assumption actually isn't really that farfetched.
