Borderlands 2 will make the final piece of story-based DLC, Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep, available to players sometime at the end of June. The DLC is shaping up to be the best add-on pack for the game yet, and could very well be one of the best expansions of this console generation. This will most likely signal the end of Season Pass DLC for the game, as it only promised players four packs at a discounted rate. Has the Season Pass been worth the price? In a word, yes.

The downloadable content for Borderlands 2 has been pretty solid so far, but not without some flaws. Much like the fairly terrible Max Moxxi add-on of the first Borderlands, Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt was a pretty disappointing download. It was short, had some annoying enemies, and was fairly difficult even at the maxed out (at the time) level. In addition, the raid-style bosses of each DLC pack are meant for players who team up with friends, which basically shuts out players who chose to complete the game solo, and prevents them from completing the game entirely.

However, the rest of the season pass content has been top-notch. Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty was an excellent all-around extension of the game, and featured a host of unique challenges to players. Mr. Torgue's Campaign of Carnage, while not quite at the level as the first DLC pack, was easily the funniest segment of the whole series. The season pass also gave players free access to the Ultimate Vault Hunter DLC, which increased the level cap for the game, added a new rarity, and a third difficulty setting for those who had thought they had beaten everything in the game already.

While some season pass DLC for games is not worth the price of admission, Gearbox has made sure that players have gotten their money's worth over the course of the game's life, and will ensure that legacy with their last set of DLC.
