Tuesday the schedule of the Apertura 2013 Mexican Soccer League was defined. It starts on Friday, July 19 with a match between Queretaro and Monarcas Morelia in Estadio La Corregidora at 7:30 p.m.

Furthermore, the MX Cup was also introduced, starting on July 23 with the outstanding participation of Chivas, Tigres, Monterrey and Santos, which didn't participate in the previous edition as they were playing the Champions League CONCACAF. In turn, America, Cruz Azul, Toluca and Xolo won't be part of the tournament this year for being in the Concachampions.

The previous Mexican Soccer League champion, the Águilas del América, opens the Apertura 2013 on Saturday, July 20 at 7 p.m. in the Estadio Universitario of Tigres UANL. Meanwhile, Veracruz will participate again in a first division match on the same day at 17, and Tijuana, the Mexican team which got the furthest in this year's Copa Libertadores, will debut on Friday, July 19, receiving Atlas.

Regarding the derbies, the North classic clash between Tigres and Rayados will take place in the fifth Matchday on Saturday, August 10 at the Estadio Universitario. Pumas and America will face in the 8th Matchday, on September 1 at the Estadio Olímpico Universitario. On the other hand, America will hold the national derby against Guadalajara in the 13th Matchday at the Estadio Azteca. Finally, Aguilas will play with Cruz Azul in the 14th Matchday, with a strong sense of rematch after the Grand Final of the Clausura 2013.

The regular season of the championship will conclude the between the 8 and 10 of November, and quarter-final games will begin on Nov. 20. The Grand Final is stipulated to be held on Dec. 5 and 8. There will only be a double matchday in this tournament, programmed to be played by the end of June.

There were also announced two changes for the new edition of the MX Cup, including the privilege of choosing the home advantage in the quarter-finals for those teams that get more points in the group stage. Moreover, the right of using foreign players will be also changed. When a Liga MX team plays against another of Ascenso MX, the rule of three foreigners is maintained, but in matches between two Liga MX teams they will be able to use five.
