**Update** The U.S. leads the game 37-32 in half time. Lebron James is the top scorer for the U.S. with 16 points and Alex Garcia of Brazil leads his pack with 12 points.
The U.S. men's national basketball team will be testing its abilities today as it faces the Brazilian national team in an exhibition game in Washington D.C.

The Brazilian team has its strength of its own with at least two NBA players in the roster. Anderson Varejao, Nene and their quick Brazilian counterparts will battle against a powerful and highly talented U.S. team.
Initial tip-off at the Verizon center will take place at 8:00 p.m. ET.

The USA men's basketball team obtained its first pre-olympic victory on Thursday as it crushed the Dominican Republic 113-59 in an exhibition game.
Kevin Durant, the highest scorer for the U.S., ended with 24 pts in 22 minutes while Kobe added 4 pts in 14 minutes and James had 7 pts in 15 minutes.
The starting lineup for the game against Brazil is expected to be similar to the one in the game against the Dominican Republic with Carmelo Anthony and Kobe Bryant, as the two forwards; Tyson Chandler, center; Lebron James and Chris Paul, as Guards.
